Sixers’ Elton Brand, Willie Green, Andre Iguodala and members of the Philadelphia 76ers, along with President and General Manager Ed Stefanski, joined Sixers Charities for an exclusive open house at the 2010 Green Design Home (April 1, 2010) at Sheldon Crossing in Manayunk.  The Design Home featuring chic green architecture, amenities, art and design is the first area residential community targeted for Platinum Certification by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Home Program.

Environmental enthusiasts and Sixers fans alike shared the opportunity to get a first look and experience the new Sheldon Crossing sustainable green living carriage homes.  The event showcased the model home, and featured an exclusive sealed bid auction for items such as a 16-square foot piece of the Spectrum court autographed by members of the 2009-10 Philadelphia 76ers, and items made by artisans, jewelers and furniture makers who specialize in recycled materials.

Also in attendance was the team that developed Sheldon Crossing: Denise Lehmann and Alex Plessett, Principals of Denale, Inc.
