FLYERS CHARITIES STICK AUCTION RAISES OVER $32,000
Flyers Charities raised over $32,00 for charity during its annual Stick Auction on March 24 during the Flyers-Penguins game. The auction included over 75 sticks from NHL stars across the league, including one from every current Flyer.
Top selling Flyers items were Brian Boucher's autographed goalie pads, which sold for $5,000! Other top selling items included an autographed Danny Briere stick and an autographed Bernie Parent retro jersey. Comcast-Spectacor Charities is the charitable arm of the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm Comcast-Spectacor through which more than $23 million in funding has been directed to many worthwhile causes in the community!
